I-16 Type 17; Eduard 1/48

The model was built out of box, as a gift for my friends 30th birthday. I usually don't do WW2 aviation, but since he's a big fan of it and VVS as well, and since I got this kit for just 4EUR, I had to build it for him.

It is the Eduard Profi Pack kit, with color PE parts and masks. The model is represeting the plane of 2nd Lt. Mihail J. Vasilijev of the 4th GIAP KBF. I left of the part of the wheel well covers as the photograph I have of this aircraft, doesn't show them attached. The only other modification I did to the plane, was to cut the solid cockpit floor. But even with the open cockpit, not much more than a seat is seen through the small hole.
